Privacy Policy

Summary
Moments, photos, and videos you add to Antici are stored on your iPhone. They also sync to your private iCloud when Premium is verified and iCloud Sync is enabled in Settings. No Antici account is required. Your moment contents do not pass through our servers.
Anonymous usage data is on by default to help improve the app. It does not include names, emails, photos, videos, moment titles, or category names. You can turn it off any time in Antici → Settings → “Share anonymous usage data”.
Data we collect
If anonymous analytics are on, Antici records app use, such as opening the app or adding and sharing a moment. The data includes the app version, counts of moments and categories, feature settings, and broad ranges for how far away a moment is.
Subscription events include whether Premium is active, the selected plan, the paywall entry point, purchase outcomes, and trial status. Apple processes the payment itself; Antici never sees your card details, billing address, or Apple ID.
Launch timings are included to help find performance problems.
The app does not automatically record screens or taps, capture session replays, or create person profiles.
What stays out of analytics
The iOS app's analytics do not include your name, email, phone number, address, contacts, location, photos, videos, moment titles, category names, moment dates, exact countdown values, payment or billing details, advertising identifiers, or device name. Your selected photos and videos are used for your moments and are not included in analytics.
Data on your device and in your iCloud
Moments you create in Antici (titles, dates, photos, videos, and related settings) are stored on your iPhone. We don't send this content to our servers.
When Antici has verified your Premium subscription and iCloud Sync is enabled, moments also sync across iPhones signed in to the same iCloud account. The sync preference is on by default, but sync runs only with verified Premium. It uses Apple's CloudKit and your private iCloud database. We can't read that database. You can turn sync off in Antici → Settings.
Subscriptions
The free app includes 5 moments and 10 categories, plus photos, videos, reminders, and the small Home Screen widget. Antici Premium adds unlimited moments and categories, medium, large, and Lock Screen widgets, iCloud sync, and shared cards without a watermark. Payments are processed entirely by Apple under the App Store terms.
Antici never sees, stores, or transmits your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID. The app records the subscription events described above when analytics are enabled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store or iOS Settings.
Third parties
Anonymous analytics from the iOS app are processed by PostHog Inc., a US company. See PostHog's privacy policy for how they handle the data we send.
The iOS app uses PostHog for the anonymous usage data described above. It does not use advertising identifiers or send your moment content to analytics.
This website
The antici.app website uses Google Analytics and PostHog to count visits and understand which pages people read. They record standard request information like the page URL, referrer, approximate location from IP, browser, and device type, plus clicks on things like the App Store button. The website and iOS app use separate analytics identifiers. App Store links include campaign tags so we can measure aggregate downloads reported by Apple.
Browser privacy controls and content blockers may limit website analytics. Their effect depends on your browser and settings. The iOS app's analytics toggle applies to the app only.
Identifier
The iOS app uses temporary, random analytics identifiers. They change when a new app process starts or analytics is enabled again. They are not linked to your Apple ID or a person profile.
How long we keep it
Analytics records are kept for up to 7 years. For questions about retention or to request deletion, email privacy@antici.app.
Your choices
You can turn off analytics in Antici → Settings → “Share anonymous usage data”. Turning it off stops analytics and clears queued analytics events from your device. You can use the app without sharing analytics.
To delete what's already been collected, email privacy@antici.app.
Permissions
Antici asks for notification permission to send reminders and camera permission when you choose to take a photo. You select photos and videos through the system Photos picker. These permissions are not used to send your content through analytics. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Children's privacy
Antici is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
