Countdown widget for iPhone: Home and Lock Screen
Keep the days until your trip, birthday, or wedding on your iPhone Home Screen. Antici requires iOS 26 or later, and the small Home Screen widget is included in the free app.
Add a countdown to your Home Screen
- 1Open Antici, tap the plus button, and save a moment with its name and date. Add a photo if you want one.
- 2Touch and hold an empty area on your Home Screen until the apps jiggle, then tap Edit and Add Widget.
- 3Search for Antici. Choose the small widget, or a medium or large layout with Antici Premium, then tap Add Widget and Done.
- 4Touch and hold the Antici widget and choose Edit Widget. Select the moment you saved.
- 5Tap outside the widget to finish. Your countdown stays visible when you return to the Home Screen.
Choose a photo for your countdown
Use a destination photo for a trip, a portrait for a birthday, or a favorite photo together for a wedding. Add it to the moment in Antici before selecting that moment in the widget. A photo you can recognize at a small size makes the countdown easier to find.
Add a Lock Screen countdown
Lock Screen widgets require Antici Premium. Touch and hold your Lock Screen, tap Customize, and select the Lock Screen. Tap the widget area, choose Antici, and add an available layout. Tap the added widget to choose its moment, then finish customizing your Lock Screen.
Change the date or selected moment
To change a countdown's date or photo, edit the moment in Antici. To show a different moment on your Home Screen, touch and hold the widget, choose Edit Widget, and select another saved moment. You do not need to create a new widget each time.
Free and Premium widget options
The free app includes a small Home Screen widget and up to five moments. Antici Premium adds medium and large Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, and unlimited moments. Start with a free small widget to keep one upcoming date in view.

If a larger or Lock Screen widget shows a Premium message, check your subscription in Antici. If Antici is still missing from the gallery, contact support with your iOS and app versions.
