Set up your trip countdown

  1. 1Tap the plus button in Antici. Name the moment and enter your departure date and time.
  2. 2Add a destination photo or a short video. Choose a Travel category if you want to group your trips.
  3. 3Turn on Remind me if you want a notification, allow notifications when asked, and save the moment. Choose advance reminder times in Antici Settings.
  4. 4Add the small Antici Home Screen widget. Touch and hold it, choose Edit Widget, and select the trip you saved.

Choose what starts your trip

Use your departure as the main countdown. A hotel check-in, day trip or journey home can have its own moment with its own date and time. Check the time shown on your iPhone when entering travel plans in another time zone.

Keep the countdown visible

The free small Home Screen widget keeps your departure in view without opening Antici. Choose a destination photo you can recognize at a small size. Medium and large Home Screen widgets and Lock Screen widgets require Antici Premium.

If your plans change

Edit your moment if the departure date or time changes. Its countdown, widget and reminders will use the new date. Check your other saved travel moments separately if those plans move too.

Can I start a trip countdown for free?
Yes. On iPhone with iOS 26 or later, the free app includes up to five moments and the small Home Screen widget. Antici Premium adds unlimited moments, larger Home Screen widgets and Lock Screen widgets.
Which date should I use for a trip countdown?
Use the date and time you leave. If you want separate countdowns for departure, a hotel stay, or an activity, create a moment for each one.
What if my departure date changes?
Edit the date and time in your Antici moment. Its countdown, widget, and reminders will use the updated date.
